What Size Dehumidifier for a 1,500-2,000 Sq Ft Crawl Space?

Floor area is a useful starting point, but it is not enough to guarantee the correct crawl-space dehumidifier. DrySpace uses verified manufacturer specifications to narrow products without inventing a square-foot-to-pint formula.

Start with constraints, not a fake formula

Floor area and manufacturer-reported maximum coverage
Drainage route and whether condensate must be pumped
Lowest expected crawl-space temperature
Moisture condition and whether bulk water is present
Encapsulation or sealing status
Crawl-space layout, obstructions, and separated sections

Bulk water comes first

A dehumidifier is not a substitute for correcting standing water, groundwater, drainage problems, plumbing leaks, or exterior-water entry. Active water intrusion should be addressed separately from equipment selection.
